The aftermath of natural disaster

Almost 3 days passed after the incident occurred, seems there're no signs of reconstruction. Still the society is thrown into confusion. Some mass transit is disrupted (no operations in some lines), so cannot go anywhere.
Still Tsunami is likely to be generated at any time. Aftershock of the earthquake occurred hundreds of times so far...and there also was an explosion at another power plant in Fukushima. Residents are now in uproar and are asked to evacuate nearby.

About blackout, Tokyo Electric Power Company announced that they will implement for about 3 hours respectively by separating into 5 groups. Mine is supposed to be 16:50-19:50 today. During this period, any electronic devices cannot be used. Just wait and see how it goes for awhile.
There still remains to be seen as of tomorrow.

In many convenience stores or supermarkets, many commodities were already sold out as if they were looted, so it's not easy to come by food and drinks if contingency still continues.

We feel like as if we were back in 1940S, where the World War Ⅱ is taken place, it's not too exaggerated at all!
It is obvious that a threatening disaster hampers social activities to a large extent. And there might be another influx of people who are flocking to the refuge here and there, and the casualties are piled up once contingency has happened any time.

Still aftershock happens occasionally, so you cannot be too careful around it!

Massive natural disaster hits all across the country!

Already 24 hours passed after the incident, but the aftermath of this natural disaster seems unlikely to cease completely.
Some mass transit is still disrupted, so still a lots of commuters left behind and they can't go home and got to evacuate for awhile...so I'm pretty much luckier!

Yesterday at 2:46 PM in local time...the incident was occurred off the coast of Miyagi prefecture (Northern East Japan), which is around 400km away from Tokyo.
But Tokyo was also jolted an awful lot.

At that time, I was attending some seminar regarding my expecting job. And we were all stunned and stranded at the sight for hours.
Still the aftermath of the disaster seems unlikely to stop in no time, and now it continues...

Many areas in Tohoku (Northern East Japan) region became ruined like ghost towns and stuff. Many people and houses washed away being hit by Tsunami because of massive earthquake, which magnitude was 9.0. It is the second to which hit off the coast of Sumatra in 2004. Yet it is the biggest one in domestic earthquake as ever observed since the survey was began.

About radiation, there was an explosion at one of the power plant in Fukushima Area, and totally 19 of citizens exposed to radiation. But luckily enough, none of them was seriously damaged, according to NHK's broadcast!

Now the casualties are estimated up to more than 1,000 across the country...and over 10,000 of people are still missing. Or at least tens of thousands of people those who live near the epicenter of the earthquake are forced to evacuate their homes. They ended up staying some shelters nearby till it is reconstructed.

Not so long ago, remember there also was a calamity in Christchurch New Zealand, where 28 of our fellows were buried under the ground, and 6 people were already found dead???
The ensuing panic inside the country at this time made us totally disoriented!!

So our government sought for aid to respective countries like our alliance, United States. And it is grateful to us that some countries like USA, South Korea, Australia, Singapore, or even the stricken district New Zealand has given their name to help us out, such as food & water supply.

Now our concerns are that there might be blackout tonight, just because of power shortage, says the Tokyo Electric Power Company.

Again, the aftermath of big earthquake as well as Tsunami, or fire-flame at some area in Tohoku region seems unlikely to cease completely. It is still jolted at times even a day passed...

2011 has come!!

2011 already came in, and all of you folks must have a bunch of wishes or resolutions which you haven't accomplished last year.

I also have a lot more things to be settled and I do want to change for the better.
It's easy to say but hard to act as you already know, but why not try a little harder by all means in 2011???

So only a couple of days left before the upcoming 2011.
Still, the world economy is so bleak with the high unemployment rate, and some people are on the verge of　being suicidal due to despair against their lives which seems so relentless.

Having no income for almost 2 years, and owing to the weakening foreign currencies such as USD or Euro, my savings have also been plummeted over the years, and are getting drained day by day.

No matter what it would be, I need to secure the job at all costs before my money is running out of course though I still have some more bucks to make ends meet.

Hope the global economic downturn will soon be recovered, and approximately 3.3 millions of people across the country who are out of work will soon make a fresh start as of 2011.

Maybe I've got to speculate more on this issue before the date changes...

Now it’s already 11PM, less than an hour left before 16th, and I’ve thought that I should speculate more on the issue that I didn’t refer to some SNS before the date changes.

Still today is Aug 15, and what can it be harbored by remembering the date I submitted??

Maybe different people have different thoughts individually. It also depends on each generation or each race, or sex…not the same at all. Rather it should be regarded as quite different in each country.

   

Like it or not, and some people may fall on deaf ears since the topic seems no picnic to handle it. What makes me tantalize the core of the matter is that it is very controversy issue to bring up, thus I didn’t mention much about it on some SNS I’ve been mingling with. But I would like you to remember the date of Aug 15 for those who coincided to visit my weblog anyhow. It is exactly the memorial date of which the World War Ⅱ ended, which was as far back as 1945 on the same day.

Imagine that you were born before the World War Ⅱis taken place, maybe back in 1930s or 40s, and your life supposedly been exposed in such historical upheaval. Your life might not have been guaranteed up to the present, who knows? Or your life expectancy might have shorten up just because of the unexpected tragedy which you cannot take controls. .

How lucky we are being skirted around such tragedy just because of the later birth which was after the World War Ⅱ!

And also we take peace and safety for granted that we’ve never thought of such calamity on the daily basis, what do you think?

I’m also one of those generations who have never encountered such tragic war, and it may sound too audacious to speculate that stuff in the eyes of our predecessors as well.

As far as I am concerned, my grandparent’s generation (Born in 1900s-1910s), and also my parent’s generation (Born in 1930s-1940s) must have gone through hard times over the periods. Especially I hear my grandpa was sent into troops, while the rest of his family (My grandma, dad, uncle, aunt) fled to the countryside for safety during the war. 

And after the series of air raid, most of our town (Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya...etc) turned into burnt-out ruins in a brief moment. 
The worst has come to worst in Aug 6 in Hiroshima, 9th in Nagasaki, where 2 atomic bombs were thrown down to the heart of the city. It is said that at least 250 thousands people were killed in both cities, and they were completely ruined. 

And to make matters worse, there are still a lot of victims who suffer from aftereffect of atomic bombs up to the present, which means damages have ranged up to 3 or 4 generations. So you can easily imagine how threatening the atomic bomb is! 
Even after 65 years passed, there are still a lot of victims who suffer from aftereffect. And as a last resort, they filed the lawsuit against their government to compensate their loss. 
Consequently, some are settled, and some are unsettled.

Nevertheless, there are many countries that still have nuclear weapons, and the development of those nuclear weapons is still under way in some countries as you may know. 
Namely US, China, UK, France, Russia, India, Pakistan, Iran, and the notorious North Korea, which also puzzles us over Japanese abductees over 30 years or longer, and etc…must abolish nuclear weapons across the board.

The fact is today is the day we should pay a tribute to the memory of deceased who had unfortunately passed away by involving this war. Also we must pledge ourselves not to wage war again for the sake of nation's permanent peace. Maybe this is the common sense for people all around the world regardless of your age, nationality…etc.

So please just bear it in your mind that this is the historical fact and you should harbor something in your mind no matter what. Wherever you are and how you spend your day …make sure to remind the date of Aug 15. And to say nothing of, I’m not a hypocrite, but I think it’s our obligation to remember the war dead in every Aug 15. 
That’s what I wanted to say in my utmost…
