It's completely off the mark

Well...about the investment.

I have bank deposit at some foreign banks, not just one...because I invested foreign currencies such as Euro, Australian Dollar, or New Zealand Dollar respectively, and they are all fixed deposit. That means I cannot do anything, like withdrawing, before the matured date. Especially, for Euro and AUD, I purchased each from Hong Kong Dollar. But as you know, HKD is adopted “Dollar-Peg” system, which means it is always connected with US Dollar.

Since USD have plummeted after the Sub-Prime Mortgage came into light, HKD also depreciated by 10 percent or more. Still Euro and AUD were much stronger than USD, which means it was the higher rate compared with present. But the Media reported EU nations and Oceania countries (Australia and New Zealand) started inflation in late July (I think it was right before Aug), also when the Housing price lowered, both government lowered the bank rate, those currencies also started depreciating.

Later I've found that it was almost the highest rate when I purchased Euro and AUD in HSBC Hong Kong where I opened my bank account last year.
Now it's getting lower and lower and I cannot forecast how it would be and how further they will go down since the world economy is so bleak and no one can stop the lowering housing price all around the world.

Seems it was totally off the mark. I should have kept my savings in Hong Kong Dollar. In fact, I've lost nearly 20 percent of my savings. And more or less, I think it got damaged me mentally, and it is hard to believe that it is nothing to do with my own symptom, namely “Autonomic imbalance”, which I've been suffering for a long periods.

How it is stressful when the exchange rate is renewal every few seconds...maybe you cannot imagine. And maybe...that is investment. I must admit I'm still novice level in investing.

What the hell is going?

The content is about the recent world. In the US, one of the major stock companies, the Lehman Brothers, went bankrupt lately, the Merrill Lynch, also acquired by the Bank of America, and also the Morgan Stanley's seems to accept loans from one of the major Japanese banks as to increase working capital.

But there’s unlikely that the essential prices of houses stops falling, even said to be lower further to 20 percent or so. As for the AIG, a major insurance company, I hear the US government will provide the public funds, but I wonder how it will go what if the FRB is stuck as America is already saddled with huge deficits.

You can easily imagine how the index was dreadful as the figure, an unemployment rate, indicated 6.1 percent in the last statistics, and the most observers say it won’t recover until 2010, when being asked about the time of the recovery, or the convergence of the instable credibility of the financial market in the US. The U.S was the epicenter of the problem for the sub-prime in the first place, but outstandingly, the shadow of the globalization of financial markets must have been spread throughout a world on the whole.
The world stock market has fallen across the board, and is also reflected in the currency. And Japanese Yen is relatively trend higher, is a well-known fact.

As for Japan, a new leader, Taro Aso was chosen as the president of the LDP yesterday. However, currently, the politicians concerns are the imminent dissolution in the House of Representatives and the general election is the interest of Nagatacho. Although Ozawa of the Democratic Party is said that he will end combat during this election campaign since this would be the very last battle for him, from our side, they are only taunting us...no matter how the campaign promise (so-called manifesto) sounds nice to us at a first glance, they politicians just only regard it as a political tool, that’s all about.

How could it be changed? Were any profits returned back to our lives so far? Of course, neither is the Japan’s own issue when referring to the higher costs of living, to say nothing of the surging oil price, nor has any resources in this nation.

And about 80 percent are dependent on external demand for Japan, and it does hit the export companies representing Sony and Toyota, when the US or any other countries begin with the deterioration. And those stocks have fallen across the board as well. Still, it is said up to 60 percent of stock holders in Japan’s market are the foreigners. I assume that the Japanese stocks are estimated the lower price than the others, besides they charms for investing the real estates in Japan, and it seems particular. And it helps the lower rate of decline from the beginning of the year compared with the foreign stocks (especially Vietnam and China share).

It is obvious that the economy is in recession at present, also the employment rate is not going upward. It is said that the one-third of Japanese workers are not the full-timers (so called the temporary staffs or the part-timers), and more than 10 millions workers (including me) are called “the working poor”― which the annual income is less than 2 million Yen.

A gap between haves and have-nots exists for a long period though...who did this? One politician points out Junichiro Koizumi, but I don’t think he was the only to be blamed for. I think all politicians should take the joint responsibility for the issue. A gap also generates "the chain of negative", such as the violent crime or the suicide.

In Japan, there hasn’t occurred bomb attacks taking place such as in Pakistan or in Afghanistan, but the indiscriminate terrorism does occur in a different form like "murderous assailant," in reality, and the crime occurs everyday elsewhere in Japan.
What is worse, more than 30,000 people have committed suicide during 10 consecutive years, and I think it comes from so-called "structural distortions" which this nation generated.

More than that, what do you make of throwing stuffs away within a year or so whereas the man is a prime minister (the head of state)? Sorry for the criticizing people by name, but couldn’t Yasuo Fukuda try a little harder?
To say it personally, my true feeling was he had no enthusiasm at all during his office. Neither did Shinzo Abe. I cannot help but feel deplorable concerning the issue that those people take responsibility for the Japan’s politics.

And the present United States may be the same. After finishing the Cold War Era between the U.S and the Soviet, also the U.S seemed it had already lost luster after 1990s, compared with the past time when Eisenhower and Kennedy were responsible for the administration back in 1950s and 1960s. Rather Reagan era still had "the strength of the will of America” (the solidity), I think. Certainly, it cannot be denied such as the emerging China and India's remarkable economic development has changed the United States itself. It seems Obama has a good sense in his speech, but it is hard to say he could be a charisma in the expecting era just as then J.F. Kennedy was. And it is questionable that the US can really be stronger, even though Obama will be chosen as a president.

Seems I went off on a tangent to a large extent, however, What I meant was the only way is to let politicians change their minds, say, “they are the representatives chosen by us”. Politicians are just like the businessmen themselves, and do they really want to change the country? ... Just wanted to say, thus I composed how I feel like.

A triple ordeal I've got to deal with

Maybe it's pretty a long time I haven't accessed hi5. Indeed, I seldom check this out unless anyone leave me messages or letting me know a new friend request is coming up via my email address.
A given title is what's on my mind and also what haunts me all the way.

Needless to say, “A triple” indicates 3, but I'll leave them out what they are. And I don't want to expose the shame of my own in public, either.
During these several months, everything had changed and I had lost my way.
Although I'm the one that to be blamed for...I decided not to let things go any further.
Maybe…that is not the answer to my troubles…I’ve got to get through the turbulence throughout my life.

So I decided to start over my life from scratch.I found the new job here in Tokyo. It is a kind of the life insurance business. But I'll get peanuts each month, because I cannot work long hours for now. But it is still alright with me.
You know life looks like the fluctuating stocks or the foreign exchange rate, because it is sometimes skyrocketing or plummeting abruptly.Or it could be said it is compared to the changeable weather, sometimes it is clear, while it rains cats and dogs, sometimes.

But I've got to accept everything rain or shine, and my life maybe not just for my own. That means I've got to care for myself more a lot.

Alright, I'll keep posting as much as I could.

Baby, I'm grieving~~

Today, the world seems to be in utter chaos because of the unexpected tragic incidents has been occurred one after another.

As you already know, a massacre in Virginia Tech University, the coverage I popped up on my last updates, was one of the most horrible incidents. The figure indicated the worst record of amount, which counts 32 casualties as well ever since the murder cases had been occurred in the U.S.

In other cases, a mayoral assassination had occurred back and forth during the election campaign here in Japan. Namely, it was the incumbent Nagasaki's mayor, 61, currently in his 3rd terms while taking the office. He was running for his 4th terms for the sake of peace and human dignity. On the way back to his office after making an election campaign, he was abruptly shot by a gangster, 59. That incident threw us voters into an uproar.

In the past time, people had taken the safety for granted in our country in comparison with other nations like the Middle East. Now that many tragic cases had been occurred one after another over the past decade and it still continues, the myth of safety in Japan is getting collapsed nowadays. Especially after the 9.11, Japan is no longer a safe country. It is said that Tokyo is targeted as the place where Al-Qaeda scheme an act of terrorism as well.

In Iraq, a long spell of bomb attacks has been occurring in the guise of "jihad". But I think the Islamic dogma is completely distorted and is just only taken advantage of as to justify the conflicts between the Shiite and the Sunni. It makes no differences among Iraq, U.S, and Japan in which such barbarity was allowed almost at the same time and left many casualties dead, or seriously damaged.

And in my last word to all the viewers, I'd like to express my condolences to all the bereaved families who have lost their beloved folks. I have an eager wish to the governments of respective countries as to take further steps into skirting around such losses immediately. People should abandon offensive weapons, and should be aware of the fact that nothing is settled and make the world safer unless you avoid an armed crash...because no one want to see such a bloodshed any further.

Here's an other meaning for “Children's Day”

Remember the last time, I referred to the Children's Day, a national holiday, which is on May 5 in my country?

After I scrutinized what I had written on my previous updates, I've found that I needed to add more. Which is...what this national holiday originally meant to be, where you can figure out why people celebrate by hanging the Carp Streamers on that day. In order to explain it more accurately, I had to cite a material for that...sorry for making an excuse!!

According to the Wikipedia, it was originally called "Tango no Sekku", which may originally be the Chinese Dragon Boat Festival. Although it is not known precisely when this day started to be celebrated, it was probably during the reign of the Empress Suiko (593-628 A.D.). In Japan, Tango no Sekku was assigned to the 5th day of the 5th month after the Nara period. Until recently, Tango no Sekku was known as Boys' Day (also known as Feast of Banners) while Girls' Day (Hinamatsuri) was celebrated on March 3.

Ok, enough of citation...if you'd like to learn more historically, just click the following URL;

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kodomo_no_hi

Sekku is translated "a seasonal festival " in English, while tango is separated into 2 words, tan-go. Those are "first" or "edge", and "five" or "noon", in which you can explore 2 meanings, respectively.

In short, May 5 is regarded as boy's festival in general, while March 3 is considered to be for girl's ceremony. And the Carp Streamers symbolize their own family...say, mom and dad, also their son. As is often the case with parents, they have the best wishes to their son to be grown up vigorously.
What is more, they are basically faith in their religion, that's why people in the suburbs are considered to abide by this old customs.

In contrast, people living in the urban areas seem to be against it. I think this tendency can be attributed to the bulk of citizens who are atheists, and seems apathetic to that stuff. To make matters worse, juveniles tend to commit suicide across the country in recent days, regardless of their parent's devotion to bring them up. The school- bullying well explains it.
The environments where the kids were brought up are totally different from those of the country-bred.

It is hard to believe kids kill themselves easily. I don't know why they have to be succumbed to death just because of this. Seems like the Carp Streamers is grieving such tragic circumstances as well. The reason is only that the Carp Streamers hanging over the blue sky represent the peace and the prosperity in any period.
